It’s time to share some of our signings for the coming season!

After helping us out in a few games last season, Freddie now arrives from Hibs on a season long loan.

Josh was with us on loan from Clyde last season. The combative wing back is now on a permanent deal.

Alfie featured on loan from Hibs last season but the dynamic midfielder has now signed a permanent deal.

A fans favourite when with us previously. Now the big striker back in the fold.

Luca has previously played with Dumbarton but now the midfielder is ours.

Marko,brother of Luca, is a former Ardrieonians academy player. The defender has joined on a permanent deal.

Gwok, an all action midfielder, has joined us on a permanent deal. Thanks to the guys at the FA Nanjaco Di Kafur for helping get the deal done.

 

 

Just to remind you that although the start of the season fast approaches we are still able to offer individuals and businesses the chance to get into sponsorship at The Strollers. The players were back at Christie Gillies Park last night for the first training session of the new season.

Before heading out to the training pitch, Marc Laird, Ross Clarke, and Tom Findlay took time to model the new season strips – home (navy}, away (red), and third (white).

The strips were kindly provided by our partners, Bold Autos Ltd of Granton Road, Edinburgh. We can not thank them enough for their generous contribution. The top quality strips were produced in conjunction with Appin Sports,  and their logo will also appear on the match day version of the strip.

The big kick off for the 2024/25 Lowland League gets ever closer with the announcement of our pre-season friendlies.

6 matches against top class teams await, including  SPFL League 2 Champions Stenhousemuir, League 2 neighbours Spartans, old foes Bonnyrigg and League 2 stalwarts Clyde. Add to that, The East of Scotland Premier League provides opposition via League runners up Musselburgh Athletic and League Cup finalists Haddington Athletic.

So get ready for the season along with us. We hope to see you soon!

Marc Laird – Player/Assistant Manager

Marc Laird has been appointed as Gary Jardine’s right hand man for managerial duties. He will however continue as The Strollers midfield maestro for the foreseeable future.

Gary said :-

“With Pents stepping down, I’m delighted that Marc has agreed to step into the role as player/asst manager.

Having played at the top level in England for 15 years and then part time in Scotland as he changed his career, Marc has a wealth of experience and is widely respected, not only within our club but outside as well.

He’s the perfect role model to have at our club and will prove to be a great appointment, I’m sure!”

Our Golf Day took place on Friday 10th May at The Royal Burgess GC. The weather and course were great. Nearly 50 competitors teed it up in the warm sunshine. The winning team being from Edinburgh Autos – J McCreadie – well done lads! (See main story pic, receiving their prizes from Keith Stewart -Sec)

Our thanks go to our organiser Stevie Stuart and his helpers Keith and Tam. Thanks also to The Burgess for their hospitality, including a lovely post Golf meal. Last thanks to all those who attended and contributed to the Club’s funds.
