On 23 – 25 April The Strollers Golf Group held their annual Golf Competition. Based at the McDonald Highland Resort in Aviemore, they played Spey Valley, Boat of Garton and Granton on Spey courses.

The Strollers consisting of former players mostly from the 70s – 90s and friends have been going up north for over 30 years now.  It is still keenly looked forward to each year. This year 24 golfers took part and were rewarded with arguably the best weather they’ve ever had on the trip.

The Champion for 2026 is Gary Craig. Gary, shot a very impressive gross 72 round on the par 69 layout at Granton. For Gary who plays off 7, it was his best ever score and one worthy of lifting the Strollers Quaich after a gap since he last won in 2013

Winners of the team competition were four of our senior players  who took great delight in seeing off the “young boys”!

MVP was Peter Jamieson who amassed most points over the individual and team competition.
