Players from our Lowland League and Saturday Amateur team’s attended our annual presentation awards last night in the club.
Before the awards got underway our President, Russell Pryde, welcomed everyone to the awards night.
Russell reflected on last season and spoke about plans for the future.
He said “We have had a very good season across all our teams and made semi-finals, finals and challenged for a league title.
“This is exactly what we are looking for at this football club.
“Regarding where we got now we have started a youth section at the club and that the future of our club on how we go forward.
“We are constantly looking at improving our ground, and you can see this when you look at the progress we have made with our park.
“We have another park to go up so that we will have better pitches for next season.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to the committee and to the men and woman who run the teams, without these people nothing would happen.
“I must also thank all our sponsors.”
Following Russell’s welcome the presentation to underway.
Lowland League team player Matthew Cunningham picked up a brace of trophies when he was awarded the players player of the year and the committees player of the year award.
Stephen Froude picked up the top goal scorer award.
Adam Tait picked up top scorer for the amateur side after clocking up an impressive thirty goals over the season.
Michael Dunlop was crowned players player of the year and Graeme Barrie committee’s player of the year.
