Following today’s announcement by the Scottish FA Board club President, Russell Pryde, said “The statement today from the SFA is disappointing in that the relaxation of the suspension of football from 11 June only applies to the SPFL Premier League.
“Until we hear otherwise, that means that football for everyone else remains under suspension indefinitely.
“Whilst this is disappointing the club remains committed to doing all in our power to support the Government strategy in the fight against Covid-19.
“Over the last few days we have studied the ‘Return to Training Protocol’ issued by the SFA on Monday June 1 and we believe we are well placed to return to training when given the go ahead by the SFA and the Scottish Government.

“The one aspect that we cannot currently meet is to be in a position to test every player, coach and other support personnel at every training session and game. These tests would not be carried out under the auspices of the NHS and therefore the costs involved are prohibitive when delivered privately/commercially.
“Over the coming days and weeks the club will be doing all we can to support efforts by the SFA and the Lowland League to find a speedy solution and a return to football as quickly as is safely possible.
“In the meantime, stay fit and look after yourselves.”
