Civil welcomed Selkirk to Christie Gillies Park and the visitors left will all three points in a five goal thriller.
The visitors were gifted a goal in the opening minutes when a mix up in the defence saw Kyle Fee heading over the top of Stuart Burnside and the ball ended up in the back of the net.
Civil almost levelled when Steven Froude broke away and his shot beat the advancing keeper but rattled the bar before the danger was cleared.
David Churchill was next up to try and level the game but shot also hit the woodwork.
Early in the second half Civil levelled when a Froude went on a tricky run and crossed to find Kris Mitchell who slotted the ball into the net.
Dale Baxter then put the visitor’s back in front with a terrific long range effort th.
Mitchell got his second when he got on the end of a cross and his delicate header beat the keeper and hit the net.
Just as it looked like the game was going to end up a draw David Bango picked up on a loose ball and after breaking away through the defence his powerful shot beat Burnside to secure all three points for the visitors.
